Rediscovering Worship

I saw a meme (image with a message) on Facebook the other day that expressed excitement about one day gathering around the throne of God and worshipping with “all the company of heaven.” I’ve often wondered, or as the wildly famous song, “I Can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me says, I imagine: “Will I dance for You Jesus, or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees, will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine.” What does it mean to worship? Our purpose at O’Fallon First is to “Connect imperfect people to a perfect God” and our pathway for doing this is threefold: “Worship, Community, Service.” What is worship, anyway? Let’s imagine together!
