Part-Time Office Manager

First United Methodist Church of O’Fallon is hiring a part-time Office Manager.   Introduction letters and resumes should be emailed to careers@offumc.org  

Essential duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for staff, congregants, volunteers and guests
  • Handling church communications and publications, creating and distributing bulletins and newsletters.
  • Assisting with scheduling meetings, renting church equipment and facilities, and enforcing church policies for facility use.
  • Purchase and manage inventory of cleaning and office supplies
  • Facilitate regular maintenance and emergency service of equipment as needed
  • Request and facilitate inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with local and federal ordinances
Professional qualifications
  • Office management or administrative skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to keep confidential and sensitive information.
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance and prioritize many simultaneous projects, flexibility
  • Ability to work both independently and as the manager of a team
